Striker Joe Hugill has joined Carlisle United on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The talented 21-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Wigan Athletic, scoring five goals as he built on previous spells at Altrincham and Burton Albion.
Joe now has 43 total competitive appearances in the senior game and played for our first team last summer, scoring our second goal in a 2-0 friendly win over Rangers in Edinburgh.
Carlisle are currently 24th in League Two and seeking a strong second half of the season to avoid relegation to the National League.
They’re managed by former Newcastle United centre-back Mike Williamson and Hugill will link up with Academy alumni Callum Whelan, who has recently signed from Gateshead.
