Track Record: Glod was the second biggest name in Atlanta’s 2022 international signing class, behind shortstop Diego Benitez, and stood out at the time for his explosive righthanded bat speed and advanced physicality. He has flashed power and on-base skills in his first two years of affiliated ball, though in a 47-game stint in the Florida Complex League in 2023 he slashed .224/.387/.398 with five home runs and a 30.9% strikeout rate.
Scouting Report: Glod has a short, maxed out frame that doesn’t provide much in the way of future projection, but he hits the ball harder than any teenager in Atlanta’s system and absolutely crushes baseballs when he can find the barrel. That is the big question for Glod. Though his 104.4 mph 90th percentile exit velocity is a standout number for an 18-year-old, he struggled mightily with contact and missed at a 37.8% rate. To his credit, Glod’s swing decisions were much better than his strikeout rate might suggest, but that only highlights concerns about his pure bat-to-ball skills. Previously a plus runner, Glod has slowed down quickly since signing and now turns in fringy running times and looks like a below-average defender in the outfield who will need to play in a corner.
The Future: Glod needs to find a way to make more contact, but he’s an intriguing power option, who will still be just 19 years old in 2024.

Glod is an offensive-minded center fielder with a strong track record at the plate. He has a medium, compact frame that's relatively mature already, so while he doesn't have a lot of physical projection remaining, he's already a skilled player with explosiveness to his game. He has the raw power to drive the ball out from center field over to the pull side, with an adjustable swing that leads to good plate coverage. Depending on his physical development, Glod could end up in right field if he slows down. For now he's a plus runner whose underway speed is better than his first-step quickness with a solid-average arm to start his career in center. -
