A two-way player at East Carolina, Agnos had career years on both sides of the ball in 2022. As a hitter, Agnos slashed .330/.405/.479 with seven home runs and 15 doubles, and on the mound the 6-foot, 203-pound righthander posted a 2.31 ERA in 23.1 innings out of the bullpen. He parlayed that performance into making USA Baseball’s Collegiate National team after the season as well. Agnos throws a fastball in the low 90s and touches 95, with a mid-80s changeup his go-to secondary, though he will also throw a slider and curveball. Agnos doesn’t have obvious pro tools now as a hitter, and he struck out at a 21.2% clip with ECU and struggled with the bat in the Cape Cod League in 2021 (.197/.319/.408). He does offer some defensive versatility in the infield, though he is probably stretched at shortstop in the pro game. Agnos is a well-rounded player who fits the mold of a potential overperforming college player if a team wants to give him a shot.
