Maguire: Ruben knows exactly what he wants
Harry Maguire heaps praise on Ruben Amorim’s demanding nature and tactical intuition during a big interview for Inside United magazine.
In our latest edition, available to order now, the centre-back explains how the Portuguese head coach has impressed him since arriving at the club in November.
While results have been mixed, which nobody is shying away from, Maguire is convinced Amorim will lead the team to success and he has challenged our squad to step up.
“I've been really impressed, I must say, ever since he's walked through the door,” explained Harry while speaking to Inside United magazine.

“I've been really impressed, I must say, ever since he's walked through the door,” explained Harry while speaking to Inside United magazine.
“He's really demanding. He's tactically very good. He knows exactly what he wants from his team and his players.
“At the moment, we are still going through that little bit of a transition period where in some moments of the games, we haven't been good enough, but us players have got to take responsibility for that. We've all got to up our performances.
“To play for this club, you've got a huge responsibility on and off the pitch and at the moment on the pitch us players aren't doing enough.”

Asked what it’s like to train under Ruben, Harry says: “He's great. He's a great man-manager, tactically really good.
“The training sessions are really fun, but really intense. And he demands a lot.
“So we as players have full faith and full belief that he and his coaching team will turn things around, but us players – like I said – have got to take responsibility in making sure that that happens.”
